We have an immediate opening for an Audio Visual Technician at our Sydney office. This is a great opportunity for an individual in the early stages of their career. Our ideal candidate will have one to two years’ work experience in corporate environments and have an interest in events, electronics, music technology or computers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with assembly and installation of equipment, materials and systems as directed and specified in project documentation; may include, but not be limited to, audio, video and control terminations, speaker installing video projectors, flat panel displays and projection screens. Assist clients with test & connects
- Operate events including webcasts and live audiences (training provided)
- Aide Senior Technicians in the execution of AV system based on drawings and project documentation participate in in-house and onsite program troubleshooting; provide support to Technical team. Work with Managers in accepting equipment deliveries, perform in-house maintenance and run errands as needed
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience with and interest in AV technology, electronics
- Some IT knowledge a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED or TAFE certifications
- Must be a team player, have a professional demeanour with strong verbal communication skills
- Must have a desire to take ownership and responsibility for quality workmanship
- Must be willing to learn and be dedicated to improve
- Willing to work overtime, evenings and weekends from time to time as necessary
- Physical requirements: ability to lift moderately heavy equipment, stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, crawl under tables and have full hand dexterity to meet the physical demands of the position
- Must have a clean, valid Driver’s License
