About the company
Our client is a reputable, top 50 firm based less than 20 minutes south of Melbourne CBD.
This firm has been in operation for more than 75 years and is currently home to 80+ staff and 9 partners.
Due to significant growth in their Audit division, an opportunity currently exists for an Audit Manager with partnership ambitions.

About the role
This role offers a genuine path to Director in a growing team and requires not just an ability to manage audit engagements but also commercial acumen to further the development of the firm.
Duties
- Oversee audit engagement planning via liaison with the client and audit team members, including risk identification and appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Review the work of audit team to ensure appropriate content and provide feedback.
- Ensuring clients are compliant with the various statutory reporting and compliance bodies (Corporations Act 2001, Associations Incorporation Reform Act and ACNC Act among others).
- Providing advice to the client around the application of accounting standards and policy.
- Obtaining and analysing the financial position of companies and their capacity to continue as solvent entities.
- Appropriate staff allocation and budget management for audit projects.
- Reporting to Partner.
- Preparation of financial statements in accordance with requirements.
- Present findings from work undertaken to TCWG at clients.
- Networking and business development activities.
Skills & experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Australian external auditing
- Degree Qualified (Bachelor in accounting, business administration or a related field)
- Experience in leading a team and developing junior staff
- CA qualified or equivalent (i.e. ACCA, CPA).
