AUTO ELECTRICIAN

Fosterville Gold Mine invites suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of Auto Electrician. The primary purpose of this position is to perform planned and breakdown Auto Electrical maintenance of equipment in accordance with site procedures and maintenance schedules. Responsible for new equipment set ups and A/C repairs and electrical servicing during planned maintenance to help minimize operational down time with a focus on maintaining 85% equipment availability.

Reporting to the Mobile Fleet Supervisor, your duties will include:

• Completion of required preventative and breakdown maintenance on mobile fleet equipment, along with diagnosing faults, defect capture and repairs
• Workshop servicing and repairs as well as underground servicing and repairs
• Maintain high levels of safety and environment standards
• Accurate reporting of faults found and completion of maintenance records via Pronto.
• Provide diagnostic fault finding on breakdowns
• Ensure workshop tooling and standards are maintained
• Work to trade standards within the department
• Act in accordance with site standards policies and procedures
• Display competency in the role through high quality workmanship completing servicing and repairs
• Promote safety and environmental management practices
• Display positive attitude and behaviour at all times
• Offer technical support to other staff members

The successful candidate should possess the following:

• Auto Electrical trade qualifications
• Experience on UG Drill rigs, CAT Loaders, UG Trucks and ancillary support equipment (preferred, but not essential).
• 5 years' experience in Auto Electrical trade
• Electrical fault-finding skills
• A/C ticket

The roster for this residential position will be 7/7.

A competitive rate will be offered in line with the relevant classification contained in the Fosterville Enterprise Agreement 2021.
