Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Development Manager to join our team and oversee end-to-end subdivision projects. Reporting to the Head of Development, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire process from receiving Development Approval (DA) to delivering registered and serviced land parcels. This includes scheduling, cost management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage subdivision projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with the specific regulatory DA requirements and to our company standards.
- Develop and manage project plans and schedules, including milestones for each phase of the project.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to execute the project efficiently.
- Conduct site assessments and identify potential challenges and opportunities for subdivision.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
- Oversee demolition, construction, and infrastructure installation activities.
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the construction process.
- Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including senior management, on project progress and any issues or risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize project delivery and maximize efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field ( preferred but not mandatory )
- Proven experience in managing residential or small commercial subdivision projects, preferably within the Brisbane area.
- Strong understanding of local planning regulations and development processes.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
Additional Information:
- This role reports to the Head of Development.
- This role can be permanent, fixed-term contract, or project-based, depending on the candidate's preference and availability.
