As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software. AutoCAD Drafter Duties- Create 2D CAD drawings for architectural, mechanical, or structural projects
- Obtain input from architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Use computer software and mobile devices to efficiently create drawings
- Program 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD
- -Study architectural and structural drawings, blueprints, and other job-related documents and prepare specifications, quantities, and drawings of proposed work
- -Use CAD software to create accurate drawings
- -Prepare shop drawings and shop bills of materials and procure materials as needed
- -Track inventory and notify management of shortages or overages
- -Build models, shop drawings, and 3D drawings
- -Build and test prototypes
- -Manage personnel and oversee project work
