ABOUT THE ROLE
We have been developing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity across the agricultural, earthmoving and mining industries for 20 years, tailoring equipment to address gaps in market needs.
Our proven track record includes tailored earthmoving, chemical batching and feed mixing systems. Our most recent being an automated feed batching and delivery system for feedlots.
As a certified Caterpillar OEM Solutions provider, we can integrate partial CAT machines, technology and components to engineer purpose-built machinery and equipment. With in-house hydraulic, engineering and manufacturing expertise and technicians, we are well-equipped to take equipment right from concept through to commercialisation.
Control/electronic/mechatronics programming is now required to bring one of our projects to commercialisation and provide ongoing technical support.
Based from our head office in Dalby*, You will:
- Have direct responsibility for designing and optimising software for an agricultural automation project. This will be the first of its kind in Australia
- Ensure designs are effective, putting safety first;
- Support continuous improvement by managing regular upgrades and software audits; and
- Provide troubleshooting and technical support to the wider manufacturing and maintenance teams.
You’ll be involved in real-life, practical solutions and testing and also have the opportunity to provide input or advice into our earthmoving innovation projects.
To thrive in this role, you will:
- Have a tertiary qualification or substantial industry experience in this field. Graduates are encouraged to apply;
- Strong problem-solving skills to solve and implement systems according to end-user requirements;
- Have experience or training with programming and configuring intelligent electronic devices (IED) and programmable logic controllers (PLC);
- Need conversational proficiency with English, both written and verbal; and
- Possess advanced CAD skills and experience in rapid prototyping.
This is a full-time position and remuneration package will be tailored to suit the successful applicant.
