Automation Engineer

I am currently on the hunt for a talented Automation (cloud) Engineer to join my client on upcoming work! They are currently working on some very interesting systems dealing in high-end classified information that concerns various intelligence agencies.

For this position you will need to already have active security clearance – NV1 and OSA/ESC

What your day to day might look like:

• Maintain and develop Infrastructure as Code for a range of different systems.
• Support Java applications running in a Linux environment.
• Performance Tuning.
• Work in a diverse team across a wide range of different technologies and systems.
• Automate processes and building self service capabilities.
• Deliver and build services & technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Azure.
• Lead and co-ordinate cloud development activities between relevant stakeholders and technical resources – both internal and external.
• Periodically participate in collaboration to develop and implement operational improvements.
• Leverage experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health/utilisation of agency’s cloud services. 
• Maintain skills and contemporary practice in the applicable technology stack

Now about what we are looking for from you:

Mandatory

• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (preferably Ansible and ARM).
• Troubleshooting Java applications in a Linux environment or Java Development experience
• Creating & Maintaining automated deployments
• Demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of Cloud Implementations, preferably Microsoft Azure PROTECTED cloud environments.
• Extensive experience using Azure IaaS and PaaS technologies

Desirable
Knowledge of the products in the following technology stack:

• HBase/HDFS (HDInsight), ElasticSearch, Neo4j, Kafka, NiFi, Kibana
• Logstash, GraphQL, Redis, WSO2 Identity Server (or similar), WSO2 API Manager (or similar), PostgreSQL (or similar), React (or similar), Java springboot.
• Azure big data services, Azure AD/ADFS, Azure API Manager, Azure CosmosDB
• ITQSB certification highly desirable.
