The Role:
The Aviation Capability Group is seeking an Aviation Tasking Advisor to act as the primary adviser and interface between Retrieval Services Queensland (RSQ) and the Emergency Helicopter Network in the provision of expert advice on aircraft tasking, operations and asset prioritisation. The successful candidate will have Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and Search and Rescue (SAR) experience and will be responsible for providing aeromedical planning advice and education, reporting time critical and tactical advice to management and contribute to the continuous improvement of ACG guidelines and processes.
Permanent position based in Kedron, Brisbane.
Your Key Accountabilities will include:
• Provision of subject matter expertise, aeromedical planning advice and education.
• Provision of time critical and tactical management advice regarding Emergency Helicopter Network (EHN) operational planning limitations.
• Liaison with service providers, providing a point of contact between EHN service providers and Retrieval Services Queensland.
• Provide input into guidelines and process improvement activities and the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
• Collate, disseminate and publish urgent and routine operational information.
Mandatory requirements:
• Experience in civil or military Emergency Medical Service (EMS) and Search and Rescue (SAR) tasks.
• Knowledge of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Regulations and information as it pertains to EMS Operations.
Highly desirable:
• Experience operating as an Aircrew and/or Rescue Crew Officer on AW139 aircraft.
• Geographic knowledge of Queensland as it relates to EMS operations, remote area support and disaster response and recovery.
• Strong ICT skills, including MS word, excel and outlook
Desirable:
• Advanced communication and Crew Resource Management (CRM) skills.
• Experience in flight operations support, rostering and scheduling.
Special Conditions:
In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment testing and participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program.
