Some of your key accountabilities include:
- Assist new projects to establish the training requirements, plans, systems, policies and procedures that comply with all aspects of the relevant client and legislation requirements for that project.
- Work collaboratively with projects and BU functions to interpret and apply the Qld Government Building and Construction Training Policy (the 'Training Policy')
- Audit projects and work on corrective actions against the requirements of the Training Policy
- Support tenders in relation to deliverables within expertise
- Support the implementation of any new initiatives where training support is required
- Assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement activities for the Business Unit e.g. Management System reviews
- Maximise funding arrangements through BU and project training activities including, but not limited to, trainee/ apprentice incentive funding, CSQ funding, and payroll exemptions
- Work with internal and external key stakeholders to Implement innovative or targeted training programmes that support industry or corporate strategies
- Develop the capabilities of Training Coordinators/ Administrators in relation to training policies and practices
- Tertiary qualification in HR, education or a related discipline is highly regarded
- Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Minimum 6-8 years' experience in training administration, delivery & / or development in a construction or heavy industry in a Vocational Education and Training role
- Experience in developing and/or delivering innovative training solutions within the building and construction or heavy industry that addresses skills or curriculum gaps for wages employees
- Experience in applying the Qld Government Training Policy in the building and construction industry
