Job Title: Azure Solution Architect
Contract: Initial 12-month contract with 2 planned 12-month extensions
Location: Brisbane/Sydney/Canberra
Our client, a complex and established Federal Government agency, has a vision to achieve a healthier future for Australians through connected healthcare. Their Technology Services division is responsible for the operation of high-quality, trusted, reliable, and secure national digital health infrastructure and health support systems.
Job Summary
The Azure Solution Architect is accountable under broad direction to provide technical leadership and guidance for very complex work that delivers high-quality professional Solution Architecture and design services to assigned projects or domain teams.
They will be responsible for translating business requirements from different stakeholders into technical solutions and maintain the integrity of business-critical systems while guiding the agreed deliverables of the end-to-end solution.
The Azure Solution Architect will work in conjunction with other specialist resources and subject matter experts, including healthcare providers, product owners and policy advisors from across the Agency and the broader Health sector to support the development of project deliverables, program and Agency objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Proficiency: Extensive expertise in designing, building and delivering cloud and hybrid solutions, particularly those that utilise Microsoft Azure.
• Strategic Integration: Demonstrated experience aligning technical delivery efforts with strategic objectives, ensuring that solutions contribute to overarching goals.
• Collaborative Approach: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, departments, and stakeholders, fostering successful outcomes for projects.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying and implementing process enhancements, streamlining workflows, and improving operational efficiency.
• Stakeholder Communication: Experience in engaging with stakeholders across different levels, effectively managing expectations, and cultivating strong relationships to facilitate communication.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience designing cloud and hybrid systems that use Microsoft Azure, including computing, network, storage, monitoring and security.
• Experience with a range of technologies, including firewalls, proxies, load balancers, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Server Operating Systems, and virtual desktop.
• Proficient in integrating and utilising Azure platform services across components using Pipelines, Dataverse, and Power Apps Flows.
• Thorough understanding of DevOps principles, release processes, and environment management.
• Ensuring platforms and data solutions can be deployed and operated in a highly repeatable and predictable manner.
• Design and integration of Azure platforms to enable secure and reliable data management and provisioning.
• Expertise in projects involving upgrading, migrating, quarantining, developing, and decommissioning business applications.
• Leadership in application architecture and data platform design.
• Conducting requirements analysis and designing Solution Architectures.
• Delivery and presentation of proof-of-concepts to a range of stakeholders.
• Healthcare sector working experience highly desirable

Essential requirement
Australian Citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 1 security clearance
