Location: Bondi Beach, NSW
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM (Some weekends required to cover time off)
Overview: Join our dynamic team at Bondi Boulangerie, located on Hall Street in Bondi Beach. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join us in the role of full-time Baker / Pastry Chef. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside our baker, assisting with producing savoury items such as quiche and supporting the preparation of both savoury and sweet croissants and laminated dough.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our baker to assist in managing baking and production activities.
- Production of croissants and laminated dough.
- Aid in preparing and producing savoury items, including quiche, and support with savoury and sweet croissant making.
- Assist in the assembly of sandwiches and other bakery products.
- Ensure adherence to quality and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
- Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Production of laminated dough for our croissants and other pastries.
Requirements:
- Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM, with some weekend availability required.
- A valid driver's license in NSW.
- Previous experience in a bakery, croissant making or food production environment is mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed.
