This role would suit someone who loves to have their afternoons free. Start by 9am. Approximately 4.5 hours per day Monday to Friday.
The Position
The Bank Reconciliation Officer will work collaboratively with the Financial Service team to:
- Ensure cash amounts transacted within Council’s accounting ledgers reconcile with actual bank balances.
- All documentation is prepared in accordance with audit requirements and Council policies including but not limited to account signatories, EFTPOS terminal management and daily reconciliation reports
- Maximise Council’s return on cash investments.
Key Accountabilities
- Accurate and timely production of Bank Reconciliations using Councils financial system including external payment files and internal transactions.
- Maintain the accurate recording of documentation to support transactions.
- Ensure sufficient cash funds are available for daily requirements.
- Provide assistance to cashiers in resolving basic receipting and banking issues.
