CPL is a non-profit organisation that provides vital support and services to children and adults with disabilities and aged care in Queensland and northern New South Wales. CPL is part of the CPL Group consisting of CPL, Mylestones, Cootahringa and Access Arts.Reporting to the Behaviour Support Team Leader your role will be to ensure that CPL is working within all legislative requirements regarding restrictive practices and uplifting the capability and capacity for CPL teams to understand positive Behaviour Support (PBS).Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support across services
- Build capacity within teams to recognise and report restrictive practices
- Monitor and support reporting of restrictive practice to the NDIS Commission
- Collaborate internally, and externally to implement PBS plans
- Undertake other responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader.
- Experience working with clients who exhibit challenging behaviours
- Experience in a similar industry and knowledge of local service providers
- Ability to work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to use initiative with critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work under pressure
- Proven ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- High competency and skills with MS Office and systems
- Valid C class driving license and ability to travel to service sites across QLD
- NDIS WC clearance and Blue Card
