About the role
We have an excellent opportunity for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team and assist our community's most vulnerable participants in reaching their goals and improving their quality of life.
Bathurst, Orange, Lithgow and surrounds, in this role you will:
- Write and implement Behaviour Support plans
- Perform NDIS funding recommendation letter writing
- Collect data and report on collected data
- Report on restrictive practices
- Write group programs if this is an area of interest for you
About you
As the successful applicant, you will have a degree in psychology, social work, community services, social science or similar,
- Experience and/or an interest in supporting people with intellectual/psychosocial disabilities or behaviours of concern.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- National Police check
- An empathetic approach to care
- NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner registration or a willingness to become registered
- A genuine interest in working with children with intellectual disabilities
