KEVRIA is a fast growing, outcome focused organisation in the disability sector. With over 30 years of experience, we are seeking to add to our expanding team. We support clients ranging from ages 2 to 70 while being committed to providing evidence based clinical strategies and solutions. With advice and training, we aim to reduce behaviours of concern within a framework of positive Behaviour Support.
ABOUT THE ROLE
20 hours per week, home based working arrangement, you will:
- Manage participant case load through ongoing and regular communication with participant, families, and all relevant stakeholders
- Form functional analysis of the participant’s behaviours and writing Behaviour Assessment Reports, Behaviour Support Plan and relevant protocols.
- Utilise open, honest, objective, non-judgemental and professional communication with Clinical Team, supervisor, client and stakeholders
- Conduct data collection and assessments with stakeholders both directly and indirectly.
- Create and conduct therapy sessions aligned with participant’s NDIS goals.
- Observe and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, and review against individual plans and set goals.
- Engage in regular professional development through identified resources and training packages.
- Utilise open, honest, objective, non-judgemental and professional communication with Clinical Team, supervisor, client and stakeholders
- Successfully navigate contentious issues in consultation with Clinical Coordinator and KEVRIA Director
- Comply with the KEVRIA systems, policies and procedures.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex ideas in understandable terms to both internal and external customers.
- Passionate about working with people with disabilities, adults and children who display challenging behaviours.
- Demonstrated ability to establish meaningful relationships with our participants, families and staff.
- Possess attributes that include communicating openly, honestly and effectively to align with our actions and expectations.
- Take responsibility and ownership of challenges and successes to provide effective support.
- Share our ethos of trust, respect and collaboration.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in Behaviour Support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant Bachelor Qualification.
- BSP NDIS Approval.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Current First Aid.
- Current CPR.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Police Check or NDIS Screening Check.
- NDIS Orientation Module.
