About the role
Activ’s Behaviour Support and allied health practitioners are a team of skilled multidisciplinary professionals offering innovative, person-centred, value-based quality therapeutic services to customers. We operate within a hybrid module of working from home and across the WA community.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments tailored to our customers' needs and circumstances. You will develop and implement evidence-based Behaviour Support plans, overseeing the use and reduction of restrictive practices in alignment with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
The ideal candidate will have: -
- Registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS (Proficient level) or eligibility for registration
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health discipline such as Nursing, Psychology, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or other related health/community/human services areas.
- Familiarity with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding principles, including Behaviour Support and restrictive practices.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- PExperience in facilitating group sessions, training, coaching, and/or mentoring.roven track record in delivering strength-based and person-centred services
- A positive, contemporary attitude, and a commitment to maximise quality of life for people with disability.
