Purpose of Role:
You will be part of our National PBS team providing consultation, developing behavior support plan for NDIS participants and providing training to the care team. you will be supported to continue to develop your skills and expertise in Positive Behavior Support.

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:
- Relevant qualifications in either; Behaviour Support, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Allied Health, Disability or other relevant field
- Registered with relevant professional body (eg AHPRA/AASW etc)
- Demonstrated skills and experience to meet the core, Proficient or advanced Capability - Behaviour Support Practitioner as outlined in the National Disability Insurance Scheme Quality and Safeguards Commission – Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework and maintain suitability to deliver Behaviour Support under the NDIS
- Experience providing training, supervision and support to diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of the State Disability Services Acts and National Quality and Safeguards Framework as they apply to restrictive practices and behavior support.
Duties and responsibilities:
- The development, implementation, and review of Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and Positive Behavior Support Strategies aimed to maximize positive outcomes for people with disability.
- Responsibilities in managing all required reporting in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, State and Commonwealth legislation, rules and regulations, and Infinite Ability policy and procedure.
- Delivery of least restrictive, person-centered positive behavior support strategies that promote each person’s dignity and human rights.
- Training, mentoring and coaching Infinite Ability disability professionals through the provision of expert advice based on contemporary models of behavior support.
- delivery of positive behavior support that maximizes opportunities for people with disability and their families, particularly those experiencing complex life circumstances.
