Journey Connect is seeking two (2) Allied Health Therapists to work across Behaviour Support and Early Childhood therapy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Allied Health (see qualifications) delivering services with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of those they work with.

Journey Connect Townsville is a locally owned provider of services under the NDIS for people with a disability. Our Therapy Team provides Behaviour Support Therapy and Early Childhood Services.

About you
Qualifications
- A relevant Allied Health degree (such as Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Pathology) is essential as a foundation.
Option A: Demonstrated experience in Behaviour Support, with an emphasis on person-centered planning and positive Behaviour Support strategies (If you are currently qualified to provide Behaviour Support)
Option B: If you have a relevant Allied Health degree (as above) and want to become qualified in Behaviour Support or Early Childhood Intervention, we want to hear from you.
- A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are essential

About the role
Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive functional behaviour assessments and developing Behaviour Support plans that are person-centered, evidence-based, empowering, and compliant with the NDIS Practice Standards.
- Delivering evidence-based interventions to children with autism and developmental delays to enhance their development in areas of independence, social skills, and ability to engage in relationships, utilising positive reinforcement and neuro-affirming practice while supporting the families and carers.
- Providing support and guidance to people with disabilities, their families, and support networks, including training and education around Behaviour Support strategies.
- Implementing Behaviour Support plans in a timely and efficient manner, with the aim of achieving positive outcomes for clients.
- Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of Behaviour Support plans and making adjustments where necessary.
- Working collaboratively with other allied health professionals, support workers, and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
- Leading change initiatives to improve service delivery and support continuous improvement in the Journey Connect therapy team.
