Job DescriptionThe
Bid Manager will be an integral part of the Commercial team and your role will include;
- Oversee and execute a range of commercial bids, tenders and proposals
- Respond to expressions of interest and convert them into winning bids through a timely and efficient bid process
- Oversee the pipeline of work and manage it through a commercial and efficient system
- Work with the key internal stakeholders to ensure the bids will deliver a profitable, accurate and innovate outcome for all
- Deliver market research with a view to identifying new business opportunities and improved processes for the group
This role will be customer facing so you will play an important role in building and maintaining positive relationships with new and existing partnerships.
The Successful ApplicantYou will demonstrate an effective and organised approach to bid management and how it feeds into an overall project. You will also have the knowledge of a range of practical and innovative bid management methodology. Your experience will ideally include exposure to the marine sector with a positive understanding of the industry. You may have worked for a transport company or similar and have executed bids for marine customers.You will also have a strong interpersonal profile with leadership skills that will enable you to influence a diverse team through the bid and proposal process.Your ability to work through high volumes of work and manage competing priorities will hold you in good stead for this role. Furthermore, you will have the ability to work comfortably with excel along with exceptional written skills.
