About the Opportunity
This is a newly created role for an experienced Bid Manager to join our team of professionals delivering proposals aligned to operational capabilities and that meet customer needs.
Based in Osborne, South Australia, this is a pivotal role in ASC’s ongoing commitment to maintaining Australia’s fleet of submarines into the future through effective cost and capability management.
Responsibilities
- Develop Bid and Tender responses for complex program delivery scope, including equipment, infrastructure and resource budgeting considerations
- Identify potential new lines of business, factoring in risk, opportunities, competition and the organisational delivery capabilities
- Ensure all bids and tenders met with all necessary compliance requirements
- Determine SWOT analysis, Bid Go/No Go, costings and capability partners (if any)
- Develop detailed work breakdown structure of tender requirements and address in tender response
- Review all bids and tenders with corporate requirements, seek and engage alliance partners or contractors’ inputs to support bids and tenders
About you
- Tertiary degree in Engineering, Business or a related field
- Experience working in Defence and/or Maritime
- Project Management qualification and/or evidenced extensive experience including relevant tool sets
- Demonstrated experience of applying principles of:
- Earned Value Management
- Critical Path Analysis
- Project Cost Planning, Estimating and Monitoring
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
