Bechtel are undertaking a Feasibility Study for Rio Tinto potentially upgrading some of their Iron Ore material handling and loading assets in the Pilbara region. The role involves providing constructability knowledge and contract strategy input to the Feasibility Study within area of expertise across various project functions.

About the Role:
Acting as the primary site contact for the client and all other project functions during the Feasibility Study, the Site Manager will report to the Project Manager and be required to develop close working relationships with various stakeholders.
We are looking for a natural collaborator and leader, as you will be a key member of the Project Team assisting us with the setup of our contracting strategies in the early stages of the Project. Your role will also be to ensure that construction operations comply with project design and specifications, and completed on schedule within budget and to quality standards. 
Your responsibilities will include:
-Coordinate all jobsite activities including actions of Bechtel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and their representatives.
-Responsible for total site management including supervision of all functions based onsite.
-Responsible for ensuring development and execution of Project plans for site.
-Implements Bechtel’s Zero Accident Philosophy, security, housekeeping, and fire protection on the construction site.
-Ensures the field organization is composed of qualified and knowledgeable personnel and ensures effective personnel utilization.
-Other tasks as designated.
 
What You Bring:
-Degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, and/or specialized courses in construction management, and/or extensive work experience.
-Experience in planning and managing brownfield shutdown and tie-in works in an operating facility.
-Experience in construction of Mining and Materials Handling facilities, Rail Mounted Machines, Management of OEM Contractors onsite construction including Mod yard fabrication onshore and offshore.
-Knowledge of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of engineering disciplines, construction technologies and jobsite management.
-Experience managing complex civil work including marine MOF construction.
-Knowledge of the Six Sigma Program tools and methodologies.
