About the Role
We are searching for a BID Manager to join our Tender & Contracts Team. This role is responsible for managing bids across the business ensuring professional, consistent and high-quality responses are submitted to our customers (from mining, oil & gas, and industrial sectors). This is a permanent, fulltime opportunity based out of our Archerfield office.
We are looking for an energetic, personable, team-oriented person with excellent leadership, organisational, and writing skills. Your strong commercial acumen will be used to advise the sales team while working together to win bids. You should bring a calming influence to the sometimes chaotic world of tendering by managing a robust but agile bid process and building solid working relationships with all key stakeholders.
Reporting to the Tender & Contract Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the bid process from planning through to debrief.
- Responsibility for planning each bid including action planning, deal strategy development.
- Preparing bid documentation including writing content, managing inputs from Subject Matter Experts and challenging commercial strategy.
- Providing commercial advice to the sales team to minimise the risk to profit and business.
- Delivering proposals on time and in compliance with the customer tender requirements.
- Maintaining and continuous improvement of the Content Bank for consistent and quality messaging.
- Responsibility for bid approvals in accordance with Group Policies Authorities (GPA) and Delegations of Authorities (DOA).
- Maintaining bid registration and associated reporting.
- Managing supplier portal content and compliance requirements.
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Bid Manager position within a large supplier organisation
- Excellent commercial acumen
- Advanced experience with the Office 365 and Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM)
- Previous experience developing effective working relationships and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders to produce desired outcomes
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or equivalent work experience (desirable, but not essential)
