Be the main point of contact for tenders
As a Bid Manager, your primary function is to assist our field-based salespeople and partners in quoting, tendering, and selling ‘design & build’ packages to new and existing customers.
You will contribute to the evolution of the sales support processes and documentation and be a go-to person for sales support advice within the team.
You will work closely with the sales team supporting tenders, creating a library of information, and developing templates.
Key responsibilities include:
- Being the main point of contact for tenders, information, and advice on documents within the business.
- Reviewing of Invitation to Tender (ITT) & PQQ documents to determine contractor tender return requirements.
- Assembling, collating, and editing written document content for tender responses to answer all Tender questions fully, including liaising proactively with colleagues across the KOMPAN Group to gain relevant information for inclusion in Tender.
- Requesting, collating, and editing written content provided by other departments and KOMPAN partners to meet the client Tender specification.
- Effectively manage bid timelines (multiple projects at once). Ensure all Tenders are delivered on time.
- Use internal KOMPAN business systems, MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint to compile information for inclusion in quotes and Tenders.
- Explore "what does good look like" to continuously improve tender responses and expand the bid library.
This role is based at our office in Geebung, QLD, which at present offers a hybrid working option (3 office/2 home days ratio) subject to change in the future and is part of a team of Sales Support and Bid Coordinators.
Successful bid writer able to take lead in responding to tender framework
You have a bachelor’s degree in business and have 5 years of experience in tender/quotation/sales data management. Preferably, you have been working in the play, construction, or landscape industry or similar.
You have a proven track record of successful bid writing and creating compelling sales documents including pricing & quotations. You can take the lead in responding to Tender Framework and multi-site/complex bids.
Further, you have a proven track record of prioritizing workload to meet agreed timescales & deadlines & ability to manage your own workload in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Are a highly proficient and independent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and a highly proficient CRM system user.
- Are Experienced in raising quotations, and calculating detailed pricing with profit margins.
- Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Can work autonomously with excellent project management skills, proactively managing personal workload and supporting others with setting their own priorities.
- Are structured and accurate, especially with data input skills, and excellent attention to detail.
