Bid Manager / Estimator

The Bid Manager / Estimator is responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders and quotes for Small Building, Garden Maintenance and Landscape Projects valued up to $4 million.

Qualifications/experience

Essential criteria

• High level Administration and Finance skills coupled with estimating and/or contract administration experience in the small building construction, civil landscaping or garden maintenance industries.

• Ability to prioritise conflicting demands and achieve deadlines.

• Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques.
• Proficient communication and negotiation abilities.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving proficiency.
• Professional dispute resolution capabilities.
• Skilled in project planning, material procurement, estimation, and time management.
• Develop and maintain strong client, trade and supplier relationships.
• Current C Class Drivers License.
• Possess (or ability to obtain) a Working with Children Blue Card, successfully complete a Police Check and proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Desirable criteria

• Civil Engineering Degree or Tertiary Qualifications (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with Microsoft Project.
• CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry (white card).
