The Bid Manager / Estimator is responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders and quotes for Small Building, Garden Maintenance and Landscape Projects valued up to $4 million.
Qualifications/experience
Essential criteria
- High level Administration and Finance skills coupled with estimating and/or contract administration experience in the small building construction, civil landscaping or garden maintenance industries.
- Ability to prioritise conflicting demands and achieve deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques.
- Proficient communication and negotiation abilities.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving proficiency.
- Professional dispute resolution capabilities.
- Skilled in project planning, material procurement, estimation, and time management.
- Develop and maintain strong client, trade and supplier relationships.
- Current C Class Drivers License.
- Possess (or ability to obtain) a Working with Children Blue Card, successfully complete a Police Check and proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
Desirable criteria
- Civil Engineering Degree or Tertiary Qualifications (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with Microsoft Project.
- CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry (white card).
