We are looking for a talented Bid Writer to play a pivotal role in securing opportunities across our offices nationally by developing highly professional proposals. This full-time role will see you will work closely with various departments within the organisation to gather necessary information and develop compelling bid responses that showcase our capabilities and win new business.

About the opportunity:
As a Bid Writer, this role has an enormous impact on achieving successful outcomes for our business. You will be accountable for developing content, coordinating the bid process, meeting tender compliance requirements and internal stakeholder management, to ensure deadlines are met. Working across the organisation's national service lines, this role is diverse and will offer variety, accountability, and autonomy.
OCM is seeking a candidate with minimum four years of experience ideally in a professional services environment to create winning proposals and build a library of content to be used in future bid responses across our national offices.
As a Bid Writer your role will involve:
- Monitoring and identifying tender opportunities
- Working with Partners, in-house graphic designer and the leadership team to prepare the tender submissions
- Coordinating the proposal development process, including project management, timeline tracking, and document version control
- Developing tailored bid responses that effectively communicate our value proposition, solution approach, and competitive advantages
- Facilitating the development of bids, providing guidance and direction to ensure a cohesive and compelling pitch that showcases our expertise and capabilities in various services
- Writing clear, concise, and compelling content that aligns with brand messaging and adheres to proposal guidelines and formatting requirements
- Formatting tender documents and ensuring accuracy and clarity in the content where required
- Preparing submission documents and coordinating inputs into tenders to ensure compliance with requirements.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Must be an Australian citizen
- Significant industry experience in similar professional services roles
- A tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, marketing or similar (highly desirable but not essential)
- Intermediate skills MS Word and PowerPoint
- Capacity to manage conflicting priorities supported by strong organisational and time management skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels and build effective and professional relationships with colleagues
- Proven ability to work as part of a diverse team, collaborating with colleagues from different service offerings to bring ideas to life and deliver superior solutions.
