Knox Private Hospital are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work alongside our team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital on a casual basis.
This role will see you working of a rotational roster including night shifts, morning, and afternoon shifts across our Emergency Department and Main reception areas.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated, committed to a high standard of customer focused care, excellent time management and organisational skills. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in vibrant and collaborative environment.

Monday to Friday 6.00am - 9pm (Reception
Monday - Sunday open 24 hours (Emergency Department)
Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a 295 bed, fully accredited tertiary facility providing Emergency Services, Extensive Surgical Specialities, 20 bed ICU/CCU, Medical, and a full range of Cardiac Services including two 24-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories.
As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Patient Billing and Receipting/Medicare rebate
- Maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with Doctors and staff from different departments
- Patient admission and discharges
- Manage a busy reception desk
- Coordinate with staff from other departments
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Selection Criteria:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Medical administration or medical reception experience desired
- Experience with Medical Software i.e. WebPAS.(Desirable)
- Available to work shift work in the Emergency Department
- Available to work shift work including night shifts, mornings and afternoons.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
