We are currently seeking applications for the role of On-Bench Supervisor to be based in Newlands site in Queensland's Bowen Basin!
Operating on an even time 8 days on, 6 days off roster, our On-Bench Supervisors are primarily charged with forming trusted relationships our clients, along with managing a highly skilled team of Shotfirers, MMU Operators, and Blast Assistants from ground level. Attending client meetings, performing incident investigations, and playing a key role in developing safety management plans are just some of the duties our Supervisors will perform.
This role can either be viewed as a long term and secure site based Supervisory role, or an ideal stepping stone into a managerial career with Orica.

- Providing operational blasting knowledge and advice to our client blast crews and associated stakeholders;
- Shotfiring duties including magazine management, managing the loading, tying and firing of blasts, following drill and blast designs;
- Working in tight unison with your teammates to provide excellence in service to our valued customers;
- Assisting with the training and mentoring of new team members;
- At all times acting with integrity and respect.
- 3+ years proven experience in an operational leadership role;
- Strong people leadership and management skills;
- Knowledge of the Drill & Blast process on an Open Cut mine;
- Experience working within or leading a mine or quarry site blast crew;
- Experience operating as a full shotfirer;
- An impeccable safety record and commitment toward safety.

- Ownership: You own the responsibility assigned to you as Supervisor and the deliveries of your team;
