Job description

Part time (please specify in your application which of these shifts you can work: Monday 11am to 7pm or 12pm to 8.30pm, Tuesday 11am to 7pm, Wednesday 11am to 7pm or 12pm to 8.30pm and Friday 7.30 to 5pm)

  • Weekdays with rotating roster for one weekend day every 9 weeks
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Located in Bayside Sandringham
  • Ongoing career support and mentoring - including three weeks of four full 8 hour shifts for orientation where you shadow a staff member to learn our processes

As a Receptionist, you will work as part of an administration team providing phone, onsite reception, customer service and administrative assistance. You will be part of our excellent team of administrative staff who take care of our patients concerns with efficiency and a smile, ensuring our patients feel welcome and listened to regardless of the complexity of the requests. Also having customer service as a top priority whilst work efficiently in a fast-paced administrative role both over the phone and face to face. Additionally, general administration duties including data entry, diary management, file and document management, and refer patient requests inside appropriate systems. 

About You

Ideally, you will:

  • Have experience working in a customer service position (existing medical reception experience highly advantageous) 
  • Experience managing a high volume of patient calls with an excellent phone manner
  • Be a strong communicator who can positively engage with people 
  • Be resilient and able to deal with distressed patients on occasion 
  • Be able to multi-task and prioritise to manage daily tasks
  • Have high attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work
  • Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment
  • Work well in a team environment but also be a self-starter
  • Demonstrate sound administrative skills and confidence using Microsoft Outlook and Best Practice.
