We are a busy private neurosurgical clinic in East Melbourne looking for an experienced Medical receptionist to join our team who is passionate about providing excellent patient care. We provide brain and spine surgical services to patients in Victoria, NSW and Tasmania.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of the practice as part of a team ensuring that all patients are provided with the highest level of customer service. Hours will be 3-4 days per week. Working from home is not an option.
Key responsibilities
- Dealing with telephone enquiries and bookings
- Organising our Doctors’ consultations and procedures
- Communicating with patients on arrival and departure
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Manage patient invoicing and receipting
- Typing, filing and other admin studies

Previous reception work in a medical practice would be advantageous.

- Proven track record in excellent patient service
- Polite and professional telephone manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail
- Positive outlook and ability to multitask with a smile
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to demonstrate a dedicated work ethic
- Knowledge of Medicare and Health Fund billing protocols
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a computerised Medical Practice
