With around 250 staff and a turnover of $18m, disAbility Living Inc. (DLi) is a vital, values-based, person-centred organisation providing a holistic approach to support and expanding horizons for over 200 clients across metropolitan Adelaide. Established in 1984 to provide long term community accommodation and lifestyle support for young adults with disabilities, continued expansion of services sees the organisation today providing wide ranging housing options, in-home support, community based social participation and skills development programs for children and adults, as well as specialised behaviour support services.
DLi is governed by a dedicated, passionate, experienced and skills based voluntary Board. An opportunity now exists for the appointment of two new Board Members who will contribute to the ongoing sustainability and relevance of this successful and worthy South Australian organisation.
Applications are sought from experienced governance professionals with backgrounds in the following disciplines:
- marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement;
- business development, services growth;
- commercial collaborations;
- property and development;
- NDIS and/or lived experience of disability.
A genuine affinity with the purpose and vision of DLi complemented by warmth, authenticity, empathy and commercial acumen are considered essential qualities to bring to the Board. Relevant governance qualifications (AICD) will be highly regarded.
