We currently have an opportunity for an experienced quarry/mining fixed-plant Boilermaker / Welder to perform fixed-plant maintenance at our Nerang Quarry, on a permanent, full-time basis. We are looking for candidates who have either a trade qualification as a fitter / boilermaker, or ample relevant experience. This role will be an Afternoon Shift position - with a 2pm start and a midnight-2am finish, Monday to Friday! Very Minimal Weekend Work (Depending on Breakdown/Production Requirements).
In your new role with us, you will:
- Conducting general fixed-plant maintenance
- Inspection and maintenance of crushers, conveyors, screens and chutes
- Communicating and planning repairs according to requirements in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor/Leading Hand
- Executing repairs as per scheduled timeline
- Monitor improvements to maintenance tasks and processes or plant performance
This role is a great fit for you if:
- Applicants will need to be experienced in crusher, screening, conveyor repairs (fixed plant maintenance background)
- Preferences are for trades qualified in fitter/boilermaker
- Will need to be fit - constant manual handling
- Can commit to 5 afternoons a week
- Need to be able to work within a small crew
- Willingness to listen and learn
- Must be reliable
- Hold a current drivers license
- Hold current Confined Space and Working at Heights qualifications
