About the Role
Position: Boilermaker Rigger (Metal Fabricator)

Hours of work: 38 hours per week.
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 Plus Guaranteed Superannuation.
Job Description
The Boilermaker Rigger is responsible for safe work practices associated with installing structural steel on building sites using welding/ fabrication Boilermaker techniques alongside rigging equipment such as cranes, winches, or pulleys. Duties include Welding connection plates/Cleats and steel modification/rectification before and during the erection of structures, ensuring the safety and compliance of installation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Setout and welding of cleats to precast panels.
• Understand shop drawings for Identification and rectification of manufacturing errors.
• Welding and oxy cutting.
• Selecting appropriate rigging gear such as slings, cables, chains, and hooks based on load specifications and safety regulations.
• Inspecting rigging equipment for damage or wear and performing routine maintenance to ensure safe operation.
• Adhering to occupational health and safety procedures.
• Communication with the construction team to facilitate the safe installation of structural steel.

Qualification and experience required:
• Cert III in Engineering- Fabrication (MEM30305)
• Cert IV in Engineering (MEM40105)
• Rigging Ticket (RI minimum requirement)
• At least 3 years of working experience in a similar environment.
