T.O.P. specialises in the Fabrication & Welding of Piping and Structural Steel components, Tanks/Vessels in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel, working with Gas & Oil, On & off Shore, Power, Paper & Water Industries.
About the position
This is a short-term position based at the Loy Yang B Power Station between 16th April and 29th April 2024 to support a general maintenance outage.
You MUST be available during the above dates.
You MUST hold a current Power Industry card. Please provide a copy along with your application.
An existing Induction at Loy Yang B is preferred, but not necessary. Please advise if you have this as part of your application.
12 hours shifts days and nights, penalty rates apply.
There is potential for ongoing work at our Morwell Workshop or Loy Yang B for the right candidate/s.
Qualifications & experience
- Trade Qualification - minimum Certificate 3
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Boiler-making and Welding.
- Ability to work both autonomously, and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Ensure sufficient task analysis are completed to carry work out safely.
- Perform assigned duties in a timely and safe manner.
- General outage maintenance
- Welder / Boiler making duties, such as:
- Grinding
- Cutting
- Welding
- Tacking
- Oxy / Welding cutting & gouging
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
- Maintain and use equipment as designed.
- Ensure that work is performed as per the current schedule of work as specified by Site Supervisor
- Ensure all work is carried out to quality and specification requirements.
- Adherence to Company policies and procedures.
