X-Ray & Imaging (XRI) is a specialist radiology provider with practices across the beautiful Sunshine Coast, and recently joined the Integral Diagnostic (IDX Group); we operate quality comprehensive practices including CT, Mammography, BMD, X-Ray, Ultrasound, MRI and Nuclear Medicine across Australia and New Zealand.
About the Role
X-Ray & Imaging is seeking a full-time Booking Agent, for our dedicated Central Booking Office, located in Maroochydore. You will be the first point of contact for many patients and referrers, in this very busy and challenging role. You will be responsible for scheduling and managing of patient appointments and facilitating the pre-admission assessment process across all modalities including CT, Xray, Ultrasound, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine for all sites. This role is based at our Maroochydore head office.
Reporting to the Team Leader, your key responsibilities include:
- Answering telephone calls in a courteous, professional, and sensitive manner.
- Scheduling appointments for our patients using our state-of-the-art RIS system
- Managing appointments to maximize clinic efficiencies
- Quoting relevant fees and Medicare rebates to patients
- Informing our patients of preparation requirements prior to their visit
- Working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team comprising of Receptionists, Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers, Nuclear Medicine Technologists and administrative staff.

About You
- A high level of communication and patient care skills - welcoming and friendly!
- Experience a fast-paced high-volume call environment
- Accurate data entry and an attention to detail
- Integrity, respect and professionalism
- Background ideally in Radiology, Medical or associated Health care industry or call center
- A "can do" attitude that builds rapport with patients, staff and professional easily
- Experience with booking programs - medical programs ideally
