We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified bookkeeper to join our small and dynamic team as part of a growing group specialising in Retirement Village living. Mbark villages are inclusive retirement communities where our Residents live active and connected lives. As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated experience in providing financial and accounting support, in particular to senior management and business owners. You will bring your extensive knowledge of MYOB or Xero accounting software. Key tasks & responsibilities
- Accounts management - Payable, Receivable, Reconciliations, Invoicing
- Management of the payroll function
- Reporting - preparation of monthly financial reports, quarterly and year end financials. Provision of management reports as required.
- Assist with annual budget preparation.
- Financial Compliance - BAS, IAS and PAYG requirements; superannuation; workers compensation; insurance; GST
- Financial record keeping - maintain accurate financial records and associated administration tasks.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous bookkeeping experience with advanced skills in MYOB preferred (as our current system), however happy to consider Xero
- Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent time management and efficiency
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a group of businesses
