Bookkeeper & Admin Assistant - Forbes

Power Tools Plus

At Power Tools Plus we have a number of new opportunities opening within our Head Office Team at Forbes, both Full-time and Part Time. 

We’re currently seeking applications for bookkeeper and support assistant roles. 

The Administration team are responsible for:

  • Accounts receivable and payable
  • Debtors and customer payments
  • Payroll and associated functions
  • Bank account and till reconciliations
  • Customer enquiries and customer service support
  • Compile management reports
  • Administer business services, facilities and overheads, including vehicle fleet, utilities, information technology and telephone systems
  • Compliant financial and taxation management; asset register
  • Admin for business events and travel. 

Further to the administration elements, these roles support a range of other business management functions.  Flexibility and a willingness to pitch in within our teams is essential. 

To be the successful candidate, you will need to prove that you have a high level of professionalism and attention to detail, an ability to work within deadlines and enjoy a varied work day. 

Your duties may include: 

Finance, Capital (integrated accounting system) and Reporting

  • Maintaining integrity, accuracy and operational efficiency of accounting system
  • Support  software issues, upgrades and system developments
  • Manage supplier accounts system, on time payments, payment rebates and timely resolution of queries
  • Overseeing debtors’ management system
  • Provide management reports on business performance

Administration and Payroll

  • Provide timely admin support to executive and management teams, suppliers and customers
  • Manage payroll system
  • Oversight of business finance and administrative functions and team

You will require the following talents:

  • You have competent skill and experience based on at least 2+ years’ experience in finance or administration roles
  • You are proficient with Excel and Microsoft software
  • You have the ability to self-manage workflow and meet targets
  • You work well in a team and are share tasks and support others
  • Bookkeeper – you have knowledge of business financial statements and bookkeeping

It is desirable for you to have the following: 

  • Experience working in a commercial retail/wholesale/manufacturing business
