We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team.
The Company
Smartline Medical is a medical equipment manufacturing SME based on the Sunshine Coast in QLD. Smartline focuses into the sterile core of hospitals including CSSD and Endoscopy equipment with products being exported to 20 countries around the world. Our products are high quality and all made in QLD. The company is certified to ISO9001 for its Quality Management System and is progressive for a company of its size.
The Position
The position will be working in the Finance and Admin department to provide accurate and timely bookkeeping services, liaising across production and sales departments. The position can be flexible for the right candidate and the company is open to different working arrangements. You will report directly to the General Manager and be required to undertake the following tasks amongst others:
- Processing invoices and payments
- Supplier payments
- Debt collection
- Cashflow management and reporting
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
- Preparing and lodging BAS and PAYG
- Managing payroll and superannuation
- Preparing financial reports and statements
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Maintaining financial records and filing system
- Assisting with other administrative tasks including job flow
Our Ideal Candidate
- Bookkeeping Experience 3+ years
- Qualification in Bookkeeping or Accounting (preferred)
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Problem Solving skills to resolve any discrepancies or issues
- Experience with using MRP/ERP systems (Ostendo is beneficial but not mandatory)
- Confident MS Office and Xero user skills
- Basic Database/SQL Experience (preferred)
- Experience working in a manufacturing industry is a plus but not essential
- Flexibility and ability to work in fluid environments
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate issues and suggest corrective actions
- Advanced conflict resolution skills
- Advanced time management skills
