The OpportunityWe are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team based at Nundah. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconciling bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assisting with processing payroll and maintaining employee records
- Monthly reporting against budget and review with the Directors and external accountant.
- Processing transactions
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)
- Coordinating allocated jobs and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
- Managing bank accounts/facilitating payment
- Ad-hoc administrative duties
You are an experienced Bookkeeper who possesses the following:
- Minimum of Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeping (or relevant experience)
- Exposure to various software (MYOB & MYOB Advance)
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledgeable with new products (system implementation)
- Ability to deal with a broad range of clients.
- Great attention to detail
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Good time management with the ability to prioritise your workload.
- A Police Check is a requirement for this job.
