We are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team.
The role is permanent part-time with flexible working hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record transactions accurately, from bank statements and receipts
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Bank Reconciliation
- Payroll, STP filing and superannuation
- QLeave, TPAR and WorkCover
- Manage emails and assist with client queries
- Preparation of IAS and BAS
- End of month procedures & financial reporting
- Transition of clients to Xero
- Providing Xero training support to clients
- Ad-hoc reporting and processing as required
To be successful in this role you must possess:
- Cert IV in Business or Accounting (minimum)
- Xero experience (must be Xero Certified)
- Minimum 3 years bookkeeping and payroll experience
- Trade service industry experience is favourable but not essential
- Ability to follow documented procedures
- A high level of attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills and a professional email etiquette
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- A positive and confident attitude
Salary will be negotiated based on experience.
