We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant who can operate independently and is comfortable with taking on some broader responsibilities outside of a traditional bookkeeper role. You will have a “can do” attitude and have an appreciation for excellent customer service.
The role is on a part time basis, circa 30 hours per week, and is based in the head office. This will suit somebody looking to work school hours or a reduced working week. The role will report to the Finance Director.
You will be responsible for:
- All bookkeeping functions and month end processes
- Payroll for a small team and assistance in HR matters
- Receipt and costing of inwards goods
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Supplier payments
- Foreign exchange
- Overseeing other office duties as required
- Providing support to the CEO and Finance Director
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- At least five years’ experience as a bookkeeper/accountant
- MYOB or similar accounting package experience
- Previous payroll exposure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office software
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking skills
- An ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Punctuality and reliability
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
