The Opportunity
This exciting new role will aim to provide support to the Branch Operations Manager by controlling, directing, and maximising the productivity and effectiveness of the Melbourne Branch Operations.

Tasks & Responsibilities
- Implementation of operational changes to increase efficiency and productivity as directed by the Branch Operations Manager
- Accountable for branch cost control, efficiencies and utilisation monitored through the performance review process
- Monitor movement of the fleet to ensure safe, cost effective, and reliable distribution of freight
- Ensure that the appropriate policies, procedures, and organisation structures are in place
- Drive local hire and ensure usage of branch based assets
- Maximise back loading capability
- Manage branch scanning compliance on a daily basis and assist with administration of paperwork as and when required including FMS
Skills & Experience
- Transport experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft package suite of programs
- Good understanding of heavy haulage requirements and road transport over dimensional permit requirements
