We are approaching an exciting time with growth and EBIT and an exciting opportunity for an experiencedBranch Manager Transport Operations to join our Health Services Business Unit.  

The Branch Manager Transport Operations is accountable for managing all operations within the branch whilst delivering the required level of service to customers and, ultimately, achieving operational targets.

You will work collaboratively with your team to lead the daily operations; this includes.

Optimising the utilisation of the fleet of drivers, ensuring routing and compliances are well thought out and implemented.

Continuous improvement on the operations, including Washline and Autoclave.

 Although you will be well supported by sector managers, you will lead the teams of plant operations and logistics staff. 

Based on site at Dandenong South, you will report to the Regional Manager. Due to the nature of this role, you are required to be onsite Monday – Friday, 8 am -4 pm (flexibility is available around start and finish).

Responsibilities:

Adopt & practice, promote, and monitor compliance with Cleanaway’s HSEQ policies, procedures and lifesaving rules.

Manage the branch P&L, undertake plant performance reporting, and attend management meetings.

Results driven with CI mindset. Proactively manage the operations. Including waste, transport, recycling, and resources. Ensuring continuous development, identifying EBIT leakages, and performance enhancements to increase market share and profits. 

Manage and develop a team inclusive of performance & development, mentoring, and succession planning.

Collaborate with Operations Manager & Logistics Manager to review and optimise effectiveness in undertaking debriefs, startups and took boxes.

About you? 

You are commercially astute and lead with Intellectual rigour and curiosity.

You have extensive experience in influencing/negotiating internally and externally and are exceptional with stakeholder management, coupled with a high level of written and verbal communication.

You maintain a high-performance, values-based company culture demeanour that proactively engages and influences your subordinates.

You have thorough experience at the management level within a Transport & Logistics environment.

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite of programs and using CRM tools. Or technically minded and can pick things up quickly.
