A leading commercial and family business broker, with presence in the market for over 40 years is looking for a Operations Manager to join their Melbourne team. The role is responsible for providing the management and support necessary to ensure the segment has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and systems in place to operate efficiently and effectively.The Responsibilities of the role are:
- Achieve the Broking Department Budget objectives by development of new business and retention of existing business
- Effectively manage the Broking team to achieve business goals and objectives
- Contribute to, accept and assist in the implementation of the company vision and values
- Provide technical assistance to the team on insurance products and underwriter relationships
- Promote Company by attending industry conferences/events as required and act as the role model for the Company.
- Keep abreast of the insurance industry news
- Manage the strategic direction of the Broking team
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in operational or project management with previous experience in a similar role.
- Proven independent management of a business operations
- Knowledge of AFCA and ASIC compliance and regulations
- Demonstrated understanding of efficient broker systems and processes
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
