Diverse Responsibilities:
As a key role in our build team, you'll manage the planning, documentation, and construction of new billboards, including the fabrication and sourcing of key components and contractors. You'll also oversee the rebuild of existing sites and maintenance across various Bishopp owned and/or operated sites. Your role will involve ensuring our steel construction components are completed in accordance with provided plans, the Building Code of Australia, and Bishopp requirements, policies, and standards.
Leadership Development:
You'll play a key role in supervising, managing and developing the installation team and other direct reports, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and expected work standards. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, shaping the culture and morale to align with our organisational values.
Impactful Work:
Join us in contributing to a culture of zero harm in the workplace, ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational policies and procedures. Your role will involve proactive vegetation management and strategies to minimise impact during installations, inspections, or removals of billboards.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement ways to improve client service within your role. Contribute to ongoing review, development, and implementation of changes to improve productivity and efficiency within Bishopp Billboard Constructions.
A typical month for you in this role might look like:
- Overseeing the erection of Steel Structures across the East Coast of Australia, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Working with the Build Team and larger operations team to develop construction plans and schedules, including material procurement and resource allocation.
- Conduct site inspections to assess progress and address any issues or concern.
- Making critical decisions regarding changes in project scope, schedules, or resource allocation while on-site.
- Prepare reports on service delivery performance, including metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Conducting a team meeting with installation and construction team members to discuss the week's goals and tasks.
- Address any maintenance issues reported by the installation team, coordinating repairs or replacements as necessary.
- Liaise with clients or other stakeholders to address any concerns or inquiries regarding ongoing projects.

- Developing the trade skills within the organisation and contributing to succession planning.
- Maintaining stakeholder relationships through clear communication, prompt issue resolution or escalation to reduce downtime.
- Providing data-driven reports to support strategic initiatives.
- Contributing to and maintain a culture of zero harm and providing recommendations for improvements and recognising efficiencies.
If you have a relevant trade qualification and 5+years’ experience with fabrication, building and erecting Steel Structures you will be set up for success. A key foundational skill will be your ability to coordinate projects and solve problems. We want to hear from you if you are:
- Current QBCC License
- 5+ years experience in leading a team of up to 6 construction professionals.
- Skills in Microsoft Office and field service software applications
- Physically able to work on site
- Travel up to 2 weeks at a time
- A seasoned steel industry project manager who can juggle multiple responsibilities.
