  • Total package from $79,604 to $99,014 plus super and car allowance, 35 hours per week

This role will provide you with the opportunity to utilise your skills in the area of Building Control to investigate unlawful building and development works.

What You’ll Be Working On 

Your day to day will involve investigating customer requests regarding building compliance and take appropriate action in accordance with Council’s Compliance and Enforcement Policy including issuing Notices and Orders (under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993 and Swimming Pools Act 1992). 

You will assist in the consideration and assessment of development applications and provide building advice (including Building Code of Australia assessment) to other staff and the public.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

To be successful in this role you will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline regarding building certification and/or proven experience in a relevant field of building compliance and regulatory action.

You will bring knowledge in understanding Part 6 certificates, fire upgrading assessment and regulatory enforcement, and will be committed to customer service with excellent communication skills.

In addition to the above, you will also hold a valid Current Class C driver’s licence.

 This position is subject to a National Police Check undertaken by Council.
