With over 25 years of expertise in Australia (originally under BCA Logic) this company has grown to become a specialist code consultancy firm with a presence nationally. To support the fast-growing demand for Building Code consultancy services, we are looking for a talented, ambitious, and experienced Building Surveyor to join the team to lead and deliver on a strong pipeline of advisory work for their clients.
The opportunity
The role will comprise leading a team of Building Surveyors in the delivery of projects as well as the consultation and delivery of programs of work directly with clients. Your role will be pivotal in delivering targets and aiding growth of the team. Your key duties will include:
- Actively participate in business and strategic planning activities to identify opportunities to sustain the growth of the business in short, medium and longer term.
- Working closely with clients to identify and provide appropriate solutions.
- Coordinating internally and externally with other services and project team members;
- Preparing reports and providing advice to clients;
- Completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstratable experience in the Building Code Consultancy, with specific experience of the NSW market at a senior level.
You will hold a relevant post graduate degree, such as the Graduate Diploma of Building Surveying and either hold or exhibit capability of achieving accreditation as a Grade 1 Building Surveyor under the provisions of the NSW Department of Fair-Trading Registered Certifiers Accreditation Scheme. You will also have strong communication skills – both verbal and written, including the preparation of technical reports as well as be capable of working unassisted / managing your own workflow. A strong understanding of risk management is also essential. Marketing and business development experience is preferred.
