Job description

As an Open Spaces Labourer, you will use your skills and experience to undertake labouring activities for the Parks & Gardens, Sportsfields, Tree and Bushland Management teams to maintain Council's Open Spaces throughout the city.

Our ideal candidates will have a positive work attitude, be reliable team players with a commitment to Work, Health & Safety.

Located at the Services Depot in Oak Flats, the Open Spaces team are inclusive and supportive in providing a range of services to our 4C's (Community, Councillors, Customers and Council).

  • 1 x Permanent full time position in the Bush Regeneration team, 38 hours per week
  • 2 x Temporary full time positions in the Parks teams, 38 hours per week for a period of 12 months
  • 9-Day fortnight, enjoy a work life balance
  • Commencing salary range from $54,515.76 - $57,852.60 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Casual positions, commencing hourly rate from $34.48 (including casual loading)
  • Plus Adverse Working Conditions Allowance
  • Plus 11.5% superannuation
  • Great organisational culture with a strong, values led and progressive team
