Purpose of the Position
This trainee position is an entry level role, ideal for a person with a career aspiration in human resources and who is either participating in accredited training or desires to.
Duties
- Provide client and receptionist services; dealing with telephone and front counter enquiries and monitoring, screening and redirecting emails in the People and Culture email inbox.
- Conduct routine administration tasks, as well as record and information management to support the People & Culture department.
- Stationary purchasing and distribution, ensuring stock is readily available.
- Support the wider team with project work.
- Willing to participate in professional development opportunities as they arise.
- Position may require on-the-job training and attending scheduled workshops.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in culturally diverse teams within the social, political, and cultural environments of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, communities, and organisations.
- Dedicated to completing a Certificate IV Human Resources.
- A willingness to grasp new concepts, have a strong work ethic, and be punctual and reliable.
- Manage multiple priorities and conflicting timelines.
- The ability to read and implement Work Health and Safety principles and practices, and ability to comply with Institute WHS Policies and Procedures.
