The Department of Regional NSW’s (DRNSW) Business Advisory Team are looking for multiple Business Advisor’s to prepare management reports, budgets, and forecasts as well as provide advice and insights on complex work issues and other analytical support services to a range of stakeholders across the Department. DRNSW is incredibly diverse and covers the state of NSW.
About the role
As a Business Advisor you will:
- Support the development and monitoring of divisional operation and capital budgets
- Undertake financial forecasts and forward estimates to meet existing budgetary and financial requirements and commitments
- Sit within a small, but dynamic team that collaborates across the Department, shares knowledge and supports various units across DRNSW to deliver work that benefit regional communities
About you
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification and have eligibility for membership to a recognised professional accounting body and/or have equivalent experience
- Possess experience in preparing budgets, forecasts and providing advice to non-finance managers on financial performance related to their business outcomes.
- Be an effective problem solver
- Work well within a small team environment as well as have the ability to deliver work independently
- Have strong communication skills and be approachable
