About the Role
In this crucial role, you'll be the driving force behind promoting safety, health, and environmental excellence at their cutting-edge Sydney site. Reporting to the Safety Manager, you'll collaborate with the dynamic safety team and spearhead key projects that shape a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a sustainable risk management framework, aligning with global standards and best practices.
- Take ownership of the Contractor Management system, enhancing safety and efficiency, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Identify and act on opportunities to elevate Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health programs.
- Assess and enhance Chemical Management practices to minimise pollution risks and ensure a safe, sustainable operation.
- Design and deliver engaging SHE-related training programs to cultivate a knowledgeable and safety-conscious workforce.
- A tertiary or formally recognised qualification in occupational health and safety, with at least a WHS Cert IV and Diploma.
- A solid understanding of SHE legislation, industry practices, and company standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people skills to collaborate effectively across all organisational levels.
- Experience in developing and facilitating engaging SHE-related training programs.
- High motivation, energy, and resourcefulness, with strong self-awareness of your strengths, opportunities, and role responsibilities.
